About the Presenter: Sunjay Nath is a professional speaker with over 2000 live programs on his resume, travelling globally to present insights on leadership and performance, for which he was inducted in the Canadian Professional Speakers’ Hall of Fame in 2018. Sunjay was a founding Vice President of an e-learning company based in Toronto that has gone on to become a multimillion-dollar company and he is the author of The 10-80-10 Principle and The ABCs of Student Leadership. Always striving to achieve, Sunjay has earned his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, has run a full 42-kilometre marathon, and has jumped out of a perfectly good plane (some call it skydiving!). He is a magician, a comedian, a professional actor, he can juggle, and in university he was rated as one of the country’s top debaters. He promises us a high energy, high content, and highly humorous session!
About the Session: In this highly interactive and practical session participants will discover the ways in which we limit ourselves. This presentation is filled with real-life examples that are funny, poignant, and relatable. Once limitations are identified, we will learn ways to go beyond traditional approaches to make what was once impossible, possible!
About the Presenter: Dr. Victoria Chen teaches courses for future instructional designers and eLearning developers at Seneca College. She is currently an Academic Technology Specialist at the University of Guelph-Humber assisting faculty with transitioning and developing courses for remote and HyFlex delivery, and incorporating ed tech tools to enhance teaching and learning. She has worked as an instructional designer and educational development associate at the Royal Military College of Canada and Queen’s University, and teaches learning technology courses to new instructors at Humber College. She is also an Associate Editor for the Canadian Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
About the Session: This session will feature practical tips and demonstrations on how to go about crafting rich announcements with integrated video that you can use to engage and excite your students. Using facilitator-friendly educational technology and her wealth of experience, Victoria will showcase best practices in composing and structuring Blackboard announcements, and incorporating creative video elements, enabling you to experiment and incorporate these ideas into your course right away!
About the Presenter: Kate Andrushenko has been on the cFLEX team in various roles since 2011, becoming the manager in 2015. She has earned an Honours Bachelor degree from Queen’s University, a Corporate Communications graduate certificate from Seneca College, a Master of Professional Communications degree from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia, and a Master of Theological Studies degree from Tyndale in Toronto. In September 2020, Kate began her doctoral studies and is presently pursing an EdD in Educational Leadership at Western University. She is passionate about online teaching and learning.
About the Session: This session will highlight the wonderful ways the cFLEX community can stay connected virtually using Microsoft Teams. Kate will share some key features and functions of Teams, making it easy and appealing for you to participate in the cFLEX Peer Community Team, where you can make and grow relationships with your peers in supportive environment.
