Overview

MTH069 is an introductory math course for students who have not completed high school math and/or who need to build confidence in their math skills. MTH149 satisfies the math entry requirements for most college level programs, while MTH196/197/198 level courses satisfy the entry requirements for most degree programs. (Note that the prerequisites for MTH196/197/198 are often MTH069 (B grade or higher) and/or MTH149.)

Enrolment in a math upgrading course can be determined this way:

• If you have not completed Grade 12C math, register in MTH069. You will be assessed during the first class to determine whether you will need to complete both MTH069 and MTH149. MTH069 is a credit course. It is available in-class or online.
• If you have already completed Grade 12C math but need a refresher, register for MTH149. MTH149 is credit course. It is available in-class or online.

Successful completion of MTH196, MTH197 or MTH198 satisfies the math entry requirements for most applied degree programs.
