Ancillary fees are mandatory charges that support various student services, such as counselling, advisement, health and wellness, technology and career development.
These fees are separate from tuition fees and apply to many courses offered through part-time studies.
Ancillary fees apply to program-based courses, which are courses that are part of an academic program offered at Seneca. This includes certificates, diplomas, degrees, graduate certificates and master's degrees. You can choose to take a single program-based course or work toward completing a program to achieve your academic and career goals.
Personal and professional development courses are not connected to a Seneca program and do not have ancillary fees. These courses are flexible, stand-alone learning options that cover a broad range of topics, from career-focused skill development to personal interests.
When registering for part-time studies, any applicable ancillary fees will be shown at checkout.
The ancillary fee model is designed to provide all students with more flexibility, better access and greater overall value.

Important: It is recommended that you register for courses in one transaction. If courses are purchased in separate transactions, ancillary fees will be charged based on the number of courses at checkout at that time.
If you are overcharged for ancillary fees, your credit card will be refunded within approximately 48 hours. Refund times may vary during times of higher registration activity.
