Seneca Polytechnic and BEM TECH Partnership Program

Seneca and BEM TECH are offering an exciting, cost-effective opportunity for students in sub-Saharan Africa to earn a globally recognized education and an honour bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, data science or cybersecurity.

Students complete years one and two at BEM TECH in Africa and then transfer to Seneca in Canada for years three and four.

How It Works

Students in Africa complete two years of studies at one of BEM TECH’s campuses in Senegal or Côte d’Ivoire. In year three, students transfer to one of Seneca’s honours degrees in Biotechnology, Data Science and Analytics or Information Technology-Cybersecurity – all delivered at Newnham Campus, in Toronto, Canada.

After successful completion of two years of study in Canada, students are eligible to receive a globally recognized honours bachelor’s degree from Seneca.

How Students Benefit

Cost-effective, globally recognized education

Students save money while studying in Africa in years one and two one and then earn an honours bachelor’s degree after only two years in Canada.

Seamless transition to Seneca

While studying at BEM TECH, students participate in a pre-departure course and have access to helpful resources, preparing them for a successful academic experience at Seneca.

Work-integrated learning

Seneca’s degrees include mandatory co-op terms, providing BEM TECH students with valuable Canadian work experience and career development support during and after their studies.

Career opportunities in Canada

All Seneca degrees are eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit, allowing students who participate in the Seneca and BEM TECH partnership program the opportunity to work for three years in Canada after graduating.
