Seneca receives $4.7 million for King Campus
Funding to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on campus
Last Friday, Seneca President David Agnew announced the Government of Ontario is investing $4.7 million in Seneca through an Innovation Grant Fund.
As part of the Greenhouse Gas Campus Retrofits Program (GGCRP), funding will go towards a geothermal retrofit at King Campus, which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions at Garriock Hall by more than 50 per cent.
Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, local MPP Chris Ballard (Newmarket-Aurora) attended the event along with the Mayor of King Township, Steve Pellegrini. Ballard also spoke at the event and received a tour of King Campus.
