Seneca Polytechnic, MAAUN Group of Universities sign memorandum of understanding
A commitment to exploring academic collaboration
Seneca Polytechnic and the MAAUN Group of Universities are working toward new partnerships that will support student exchange opportunities, curriculum development and global engagement.
A memorandum of understanding between the two institutions was signed by President David Agnew, Seneca Polytechnic, and Dr. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, Founder and President, MAAUN Group of Universities, at Seneca in early September during Dr. Gwarzo’s visit to Toronto.
“Seneca was honoured to welcome Dr. Gwarzo to our Newham Campus to experience our world-class facilities and explore opportunities for collaboration between our institutions,” says President Agnew. “This partnership will provide both institutions opportunities to innovate across borders and build future-ready learning environments.”
Following the signing ceremony, Dr. Gwarzo participated in a roundtable discussion on partnership opportunities, met students, visited facilities and learned more about the programs offered at Seneca.
“This new partnership with Seneca marks a significant step toward fostering research, innovation, and academic excellence,” says Dr. Gwarzo. “We deeply appreciate the dedication shown by both institutions and are optimistic that this collaboration will lay a strong foundation for long-term cooperation and mutual growth.”
MAAUN Group of Universities comprises several renowned postsecondary institutions in Niger and Nigeria, including Canadian University of Nigeria, Franco British International University, Maryam Abacha American University of Niger and Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria.
