Why did you choose to pursue a Business Administration – International Business advanced diploma at Seneca?
One of my good friends in China also chose Seneca. She told me it was easier to find a job if you were a graduate from Seneca. Another reason I chose the business program was just simply because I am interested in the business field.
Why did you choose the pathway from the Business Administration – International Business advanced diploma to the Honours Bachelor of Commerce – International Business Management degree?
I was able to receive a lot of transfer credits from my three-year advanced diploma program, which could be applied to the degree program. It made completing my degree faster.
How did your Seneca diploma prepare you for your bachelor’s degree?
The diploma program taught me a lot about business knowledge, which made me ready to further my studies. I already knew most of the basic business knowledge, so it helped me adapt to the bachelor's degree course load and work much easier.
Do you see yourself pursuing further education after your bachelor’s degree?
I am currently undecided. Possibly in the future I will go for a master's degree after I have obtained some work experience.
How was your overall experience at Seneca?
My experience was pretty good! Seneca provided us with very useful knowledge and the most updated information in the industry.
What do your short-term and long-term goals look like?
My short-term and long-term goals are starting my own business in the e-commerce field. This is something I have started working on presently. I would like to venture into the human resources field in the future as well.
Do you see value in having a diploma and a degree?
I do. I believe having a diploma and a degree makes it easier to find jobs with a higher salary and obtain a promotion in the future.
What advice do you have for other students who may be looking to pathway to a degree after completing their diploma?
My advice to future students is to study hard and always think about what you want to be in the future.
