This honours-level degree program will equip you with the skills to excel in the rapidly evolving field of automation and robotics engineering. With a focus on robotics, automation, mechatronics and the digitalization in the industry, you will learn how to design, implement and optimize complex industrial systems leveraging advanced digital technologies.
You will gain a deep understanding of various Industry 4.0 and human-centric Industry 5.0 technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), digital twinning, operational technology and information technology connectivity with cybersecurity, augmented and virtual reality, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), data analytics and machine learning. You’ll explore how these technologies are applied in modern engineering processes and systems.
Through hands-on labs, simulations, industry-related projects and co-op opportunities, you will apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver solutions for real-world problems.
This program is currently pending ministry approval with its first start planned for September 2027.
