Thanks to the generosity of Seneca donors, the first round of recipients of the HELIX Catalyst Fund are getting a boost for their business ventures.
The HELIX Catalyst Fund is available to active entrepreneurs who are a part of HELIX, Seneca’s on-campus innovation and entrepreneurship incubator.
HELIXers can apply to receive microgrants of up to $5,000 to help them at any stage of their business, from validating their idea, to launching or scaling.
This funding can be used for a range of activities, including to build a website, launch products, purchase raw materials, advertise new products or conduct market testing.
“Many funding bodies look to only support entrepreneurial ventures that are currently in market with growing sales,” said Chris Dudley, Director, Entrepreneurship. “The HELIX Catalyst Fund microgrants are designed to support the needs of startups during their early stages where support is arguably most critical to their success.”
