I am grateful that there are donors that give to students, like me. As a new mom, I was able to use my parental leave as an opportunity to network, volunteer and participate in specific early childhood education workshops. Growing up in a Toronto Community Housing residence, the struggle to make ends meet were constantly there; therefore, this award means a lot. Thanks to your generosity, I can now afford to purchase the Adobe Creative Cloud program in order to complete my portfolio and begin searching for a job in my field. This award is more income than I make in one month of working as an on-call security guard. Thank you so much.
