FSH330 - Style and Trends

This subject addresses the evolving continuity of styles in fashion, architecture, art, and furniture design from their historical perspectives. Individuals within the fashion and retail industry must understand and recognize the cyclical nature of changes in fashion and design. These various historical periods may be recognized through fashion styles, art, architecture, furniture, graphics, and font styles. This subject will provide an overview of several major design periods over the last three centuries and their influence on contemporary fashion and design. This subject will also explore the economic, political, social and technological conditions that influence fashion and style changes.
