Chinese - Basic 5 is a continuation of Chinese - Basic 4. This non-credit course aims to develop students' skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. It will also help them to increase their knowledge of Chinese language, grammar and vocabulary. Students will be encouraged to speak freely in class and develop their language skills through classroom activities. By the end of this course, students should be able to read more than 40 Chinese characters and 80 words and have a good command of basic grammar, sentence patterns and Mandarin pronunciation.
