In the ELL assessment, trained assessors determine students' level of English language proficiency. The assessment includes an individual speaking interview and a one-hour invigilated academic writing task. Dictionaries and other language aids are not permitted.
Please note: English Assessments are now entirely online! Detailed instructions and an access link will be emailed to you approximately 24-48 hours prior to your scheduled assessment. On the scheduled day / time of your assessment, you will join a live session with other registrants, where you will meet a trained assessor to complete the speaking assessment. You will then be guided through the set-up, completion and submission of your writing sample. The session also includes an overview of available English speaking and writing programs.
Ancillary fees will be added at checkout and will vary based on the number of courses selected. For details on how the fees are calculated, please refer to ancillary fees for part-time studies.
