The mandatory 420-hour work term, typically unpaid, must be completed during the summer between semesters six and seven of your academic program. This work experience is required for graduation, and students must be in good standing and meet all eligibility criteria to participate. While securing a placement is not guaranteed, students are encouraged to plan ahead and identify potential organizations to help ensure a successful match.
Additional fees apply for the work term regardless of whether a position is secured. A Vulnerable Sector Check is also required prior to placement and students should apply three to four months in advance of the work term to allow enough time for processing.
