	This course introduces Sustainability Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethics in the international business environment and the challenges encountered by international managers across multiple perspectives in support of business integrity, sustainability and viability. Through this subject students will pay special attention to the relationships among the many and varied stakeholders that have a role in international business situations. These stakeholders include the market and non-market entities that affect business. Through case studies and debate forums students will evaluate and recommend strategies and implementation methods to support best practices in corporate social responsibility and ethics associated with an organizations integrative trade initiatives. An important element in this course is the successful completion of and certification in TCPS2 CORE, Course on Research Ethics, the Government of Canadas free online 8 module course in research ethics.

	This subject enables the student to relate business related concepts to computer applications using Microsoft Office based spreadsheet, presentation, and data base applications. Students will independently operate a microcomputer, organize files on diskettes, and learn to design and develop professional looking documents, presentations, spreadsheets and databases for business decision making purposes. Students will also become familiar with the concepts of data mining and the internet as a source of information.

	This course is an introductory survey of the legal issues that frequently arise in a business setting with emphasis on the financial services industry, human resources, and accounting and other professional services. Topics covered may include: the structure and process of Canadian legal and court systems, contracts,the law of torts (particularly negligence and professional responsibility), forms of business organization, agency, professional services, property law (personal, real, and intellectual), banking, the legal aspects of credit, and employment law. The purpose of the course is to enhance the students decision-making ability with respect to various business transactions, to aid in the legal planning related to business and to help identify, manage and control legal issues that arrise in a business setting having regard to ethical considerations.

	The purpose of this course is to provide a comprehensive and in-depth introduction to the fundamental make-up and structure of marketing. Students will come to understand that marketing is more than advertising, sales, promotions, etc. They will learn and experience that marketing is the management of all these elements (and more) as part of the marketing mix. They will work on assignments that build an understanding of how marketing helps enable organizations to reach objectives such as customer growth, customer satisfaction, sales generation, driving and growing revenue, increasing loyalty. This course will teach students to understand how and why marketing influences us and will help students acquire the fundamental skills, principles and strategies of the marketing discipline. 	Being able to negotiate effectively is a key skill for all business people. The course introduces the theory and practice of effective negotiation. It is designed to help students understand the effect of psychological and cultural factors on interpersonal communication. Students will become familiar with various negotiation strategies and tactics, and the importance of ethics in negotiation. Practical exercises will help to develop skill in preparing for and using a principled negotiation approach.
