| | The focus of EOP511 will be on expanding the students knowledge of the various duties, responsibilities, and procedures required of an administrative assistant in todays automated business or professional office. Students will acquire specific knowledge of organizing and coordinating business meetings and conferences, planning and arranging corporate travel including procedures for managing the office during the employers absence.
The students will then work in a simulated office environment where they will be completing tasks that an executive secretary or administrative assistant would complete in todays working environment. The students will complete varied activities such as setting priorities, editing and proofreading, using references, completing research on the Internet, preparing reports and spreadsheets, maintaining databases, creating presentations and brochures, managing common accounting tasks, making work-related decisions, analyzing information, making travel arrangements, and composing correspondence. |
