Admission Requirements

  • Ontario university/college degree, three-year college diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants with a two-year college diploma and at least six months of full-time work experience in early childhood development or a related field may be considered for admission. A relevant resumé and references must be provided.
  • English proficiency for graduate certificates.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents educated outside of Canada must provide a WES or an ICAS credential evaluation.

International Student Information

In addition to the admission requirements, please select your home country for specific information. Please note, that all international applicants must meet Seneca’s English requirements. Additional documents/assessments may be required upon request.

Field Placement Requirements

To comply with the requirements of field placement organizations you must complete the following:

  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Medical Form (current immunizations + chest X-ray or tuberculin skin test)
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification
  • International students: valid Co-op Work Permit

Please note that verification of these requirements are coordinated through a third-party provider. You will receive detailed instructions during your first semester. You are responsible for all fees associated with this process.
