Admission Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or a mature applicant
  • English: Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent course
  • Music demo – one original song or cover

Canadian citizens and permanent residents may meet English requirements for this program through successful Seneca pre-admission testing.

International Student Information

In addition to the admission requirements, please select your home country for specific information. Please note, that all international applicants must meet Seneca’s English requirements. Additional documents/assessments may be required upon request.

Additional Information

Your submission will consist of one song submitted as an audio recording in MP3 format. Your song can either be an original composition or a cover of another artist’s piece.

Please provide credits for the following:

  • Composer: who wrote the song, original/cover/AI prompt?
  • Performer(s): who performed – singer, instruments, programming (Beat Making) or AI? If AI was used, explain how?
  • Producer and engineer: who produced the song? Who engineered the recording?

Your demo can be recorded on your phone or in a studio — your music will not be judged based on its production quality

Your submission will be evaluated based on creativity and your potential to develop competencies in music creation and production
