This course examines the use and application of statistical analysis software to examine rudimentary mathematical and statistical principles and techniques, and their application in business and economics. Topics of study to be taught include: linear equations, systems of linear equations, mathematical functions, matrices, differential and integral calculus, optimization, mathematics of finance, linear programming, transportation models, and assignment models, measures of central tendency and dispersion, probability theory, probability distributions, sampling, sampling distribution, estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation, and regression.
