“I took the class because it happened to be a subject that I was interested in.  While listening to the lecture every week, I learned so many new things.  When I attended this program, the professor gave us interesting lectures every week, always recorded his lectures and put them on the blackboard for the students who needed to listen and study them again.  It was really helpful for me too because sometimes I didn’t understand clearly the first time.  So I often watched the lectures multiple times. At the end of the Applied Psychology of Learning & Careers course, I gained confidence and overcame my fear of college classes.  So I enrolled in a full-time Library & Information Technician program at Seneca.”

“The content of the course was extremely useful and versatile. Before the pandemic started, everyone with different backgrounds willingly participated and was very engaged in class. It helped me be motivated and enthusiastic again. Even after the course had been turned into virtual class, each session was very informative with various types of visual materials. Of course, I could learn theories and knowledge, but the core part of taking this class was finding myself and figuring out how I can be successful both at school and work through practical strategies.”

“Once I started the Dual Credit program, I fell in love with my Forensics Crime Scene Investigation course. I was fascinated with all the materials taught. We had an assignment where we had to look over a crime scene and jot down all the evidence we could see in the videos our professor shared with us. We also had to draw out a sketch of the scene.

“We had a great experience at Seneca. I attended three classes. Then, suddenly, the pandemic hit, and we phased lockdown in March 2020. Everyone stayed at home, and I completed it successfully. So, it was a very great experience learning online.”

The Foundations of Psychology program helped me gain confidence to pursue a postsecondary education through my interactions with the college curriculum, and because of the kindness and quality teaching from Dr.Güzel I felt a deep desire to go to college, a desire that I didn’t have before taking the Dual Credit course. Upon completing the psychology course, I had discovered that I wanted to work in neuroscience, to discover the secrets and “hardwired psychology” of our brains. So I decided to stick with Seneca for that journey as well!”

After high school, I continued my studies at Seneca, doing the behavioural science program.
