If you have completed one or more years of any academic program at Seneca, you can transfer to any undergraduate degree at Brock University, provided you meet specific admission and prerequisite requirements. General policy: Graduates of a three-year diploma program with a 3.0 GPA (B-/72%) in the last two semesters of a three-year diploma program will be considered for admission and may be awarded up to 7.5 credits depending on the compatibility of the Seneca and Brock programs and with the approval of the department.

Applicants who have completed a two-year program with a cumulative average of 3.0 GPA (B-/ 72%) will be considered for admission and may be awarded up to 5.0 credits, depending on the compatibility of the Seneca and Brock programs and with the approval of the department.

Applicants who have completed one year of an academic college program, or graduates of a one-year academic certificate with a cumulative average of 75% will be considered for admission. In cases where course learning outcomes align with university-level studies, transfer credit may be awarded on a case-by-case basis.Some programs may require a higher minimum admission average. Admission is not guaranteed by attainment of the minimum requirements.

The awarding of transfer credit is based primarily upon:

  • compatibility of the college program with the Brock program

  • course content

  • grades achieved in each subject


Degree: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours)

A minimum 75% (3.5 GPA) cumulative average in the Early Childhood Education diploma program is required for entry to Brock University. Eligible applicants will be awarded seven of the 20 credits required to complete the degree. Apply using the application at Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC). If you are applying only to Brock, use the Brock application.

Degree: Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Psychology degree or a four-year with Major Psychology degree, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Women’s and Gender Studies

A minimum 75% (3.5 GPA) cumulative average for these diploma programs is required for entry to Brock. Eligible applicants will be awarded five of the 20 credits required to complete the degree. Seneca Program: Paralegal

Degree: Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science

A minimum 70% (3.0 GPA on Seneca's Grading Scale) cumulative average is required for entry to Brock University. Eligible applicants will be awarded five out of 20 credits required to complete the degree. Apply using the application at Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC). Seneca Program: Police Foundations

Degree: Four-year Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, Sociology, Geography or Political Science

A minimum 75% (3.5 GPA) cumulative average in the Seneca Police Foundations diploma program is required for entry to Brock University. Eligible applicants will be awarded five of the 20 credits required to complete the degree. Apply using the application at Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC). Degree: Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Services

Graduates of this Seneca program with a minimum cumulative average of 70%-74.9%/3.0 GPA are eligible to apply and receive up to 5.0 credits towards the Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies.Graduates of this Seneca program with a minimum cumulative average of 75%/3.5 GPA are eligible to apply and receive up to 6.0 credits towards the Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies. Graduates of the Seneca Diploma program dating back to Spring 2022 are eligible for admission through this pathway. Successful completion of the Diploma program will satisfy admission prerequisite subject requirements for entry to the Recreation & Leisure Studies degree program.

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in General Humanities

Graduates of this Seneca program with a minimum cumulative average of 70%/3.0 GPA are eligible to apply and receive a standard block of 3.0 transfer credits.

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in General Humanities

Graduates of this Seneca program with a minimum cumulative average of 70%/3.0 GPA are eligible to apply and receive a standard block of 6.0 transfer credits.
