Seneca BusinessAbout the Accounting (ACC) Program
This diploma program in accounting will introduce you to the accounting practices, related technology applications, business fundamentals and the soft skills needed to be career ready. You will learn how to use computer applications like Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Access relational database management software.
As a student of this program, assuming specific course grade and GPA requirements are met, and upon completion of five bridging courses, you will be eligible to directly enter Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Commerce.
Life of Credit
This program qualifies for Seneca's Life of a Credit policy. This policy will allow you to transfer your credits earned in the past 10 years toward this program.

Program Duration
Study at your own pace: In this program you’ll have the flexibility to choose how many courses you want to take each term. Students who study full-time can complete this program in as little as 4 Semesters (2 Years). Duration will depend on the number of courses taken each term. See courses for more information.
Maximum completion time: In accordance with ministry requirements, all students must complete the program within four academic years of being admitted.

Program and Course Delivery
This program is offered online and is also available in Seneca's hybrid delivery format for students at Newnham Campus. With hybrid delivery, some coursework is online and some must be completed in person. Students choosing hybrid delivery at Newnham Campus will need to come on campus to complete in-person learning requirements.

Professional Certification
Upon graduation, assuming specific course grade and GPA requirements are met, you may transfer into Seneca’s Bachelor of Commerce major in Accounting program and pursue the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
