- Proof of meeting International Civil Aviation Organization Level 4 (Aviation Language Proficiency Demonstration Operational) or equivalent requirements.
- A valid Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate; meet Transport Canada's Physical and Mental Requirements Category 1, is required before classes begin. Please note that it can take several months to process a new medical, and we strongly suggest that you have your medical completed before applying to this program. Check the Transport Canada website for an approved examiner in your area.
- Applicants with a criminal conviction will not be eligible as this would preclude them from holding an airport security clearance.
