For programs with an optional co-op or programs with an optional work term, students meeting all academic requirements who select the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) stream of the program will have the opportunity to participate in a co-op or work term in a formal work environment.

Eligibility Requirements for Work-Integrated Learning
To remain in the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) stream of a program, students must meet and maintain the eligibility requirements and successfully complete the relevant work term course prerequisites. Deadline to Transfer to the WIL Stream
If you wish to transfer to the WIL stream of your program, you must submit a transfer request before the first day of the month prior to the term you plan to take WTP100. Please note: A WIL fee will be applied when students enrol in the WIL preparation course, WTP100. Additional WIL fees may apply if your WIL program includes multiple work terms. Additional fees are required for those participating in the WIL stream regardless of success in securing a work position. See Fees and Payments for more information.
The co-op or work term job search is student-driven, and participation in the WIL stream does not guarantee that a work position will be secured. However, students will receive guidance and support through in-class career workshops and one-on-one coaching to help prepare for the co-op or work term.
